Custom Arbor Mills cabinetry with painted finish and wood drawer fronts

AnnTucker or Arbor Mills? Choosing Custom Cabinetry for Your Kitchen Design

After decades of designing kitchens for North Shore homeowners, we've learned that the cabinet line you choose shapes nearly every other design decision that follows. DDK works with two custom cabinetry lines, AnnTucker and Arbor Mills, and each one opens up a different range of what's possible in your kitchen.

Where Arbor Mills Opens Up Your Design Options

Arbor Mills removes most of those boundaries. Face frames run roughly 1⅛ inches thick, noticeably heavier than AnnTucker's construction, and the finish system is engineered to move with the wood instead of against it, so painted joints resist cracking as the cabinets age. Design-wise, arched doors, fully custom colors, and specialty finishes, including automotive-style metallic paint, all become possible.

Matching the Cabinet Line to Your Kitchen Design

For a kitchen design that stays within conventional door shapes and finish colors, AnnTucker delivers genuine custom craftsmanship without paying for capabilities you won't use. For a design built around something less conventional, a curved door, a one-of-a-kind finish, cabinetry meant to perform flawlessly for decades, Arbor Mills is the better fit. Our design team walks through both options with you before any material gets ordered.
